Acoustic diffusers are used to control sound reflection in environments, dispersing sound waves in various directions.

Unlike absorbers, diffusers promote a controlled dispersion of reflected sound, improving the acoustic quality of the environment, bringing clarity to the sound and reducing the echo.

There are several types of acoustic diffusers, which are designed to meet the needs of environments and their characteristics, such as:

  • Sound bounce diffusers: feature curved or angled surfaces for the dispersion of sound waves, promoting a more uniform distribution of sound;
  • Grid diffusers: composed of a perforated structure with grid openings, these diffusers can be installed on walls and ceilings and are commonly used in recording studios, control rooms and concert halls;
  • Hemispherical diffusers: made in semi-spherical structures on walls or ceilings, these diffusers are responsible for dispersing sound in several directions and help to reduce direct reflections;
  • Membrane Diffusers: Wrapped in a flexible membrane under a frame, these vibrating membranes help disperse sound waves. This type of diffuser is very common in music studios and audio control rooms;
  • Fractal diffusers: Based on complex mathematical principles, fractal diffusers are designed to spread sound in multiple directions, causing a more efficient effect.
